The building is located on an area of redeveloped land; the requalification works involved the demolition of the existing buildings and the re-use of the resulting materials on site for the construction of the sub-bases. The building is fitted with an NFPA-regulation sprinkler system and a fire-prevention system with UNI hydrants, LED lighting, BMS, hydronic heat-pump air conditioning and internal charging points for trucks.

Materials with a high reflectance index (SRI) were used in the construction of the building to reduce the heat-island effect. “Green walls” were installed on the main facade of the building, containing a range of herbs and hundreds of ornamental CO2-absorbing plants. Planning was carried out with BIM technology.

The building is the third in Italy to have obtained prestigious LEED PLATINUM certification, and since 1998, in the Platinum category, we are the first company in the world to have obtained 90 points out of 100 in the “Warehouse and Logistic Center” category.
