Engineering 2K has built a high-performance logistics complex in the heart of the Bologna Freight Terminal, designed to ensure efficient, safe and precise distribution flows. The works, which were completed quickly, resulted in a solid structure, perfectly tailored to the customer’s needs and suited to the complexity of an international hub.

The warehouse, covering an area of 40,682 m2, represents the operational heart of the building, backed up by 1,069 m2 of office space home to control and management operations. The 38 electro-hydraulic platforms ensure uninterrupted loading and unloading operations, while safety is guaranteed by a sprinkler system compliant with NFPA and FM Global standards, underscoring the high-quality standards of the project.

The result of the works, which began in August 2017 and were completed in March 2018, is an efficient, ready-to-use infrastructure in perfect harmony with the operational fabric of the Freight Terminal, providing support for the client’s nationwide distribution network.
