LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE

Pontenure (PC) F

Engineering 2K undertook the design and construction of the new Italian branch of Amada, a leading Japanese multinational in sheet metal processing. Located in Pontenure, in the province of Piacenza, the project was completed in just 7 months, on a total area of over 15,000 square metres, creating a sophisticated, technological and sustainable logistics and industrial complex.

The project consists of two independent structures covering a total area of approximately 8,600 square metres, divided into three main areas. A four-storey office building (GLA 5,400 square metres) features high-end finishes: a lobby with a steel staircase and walkway, Italian marble flooring and cladding, screen-printed glass doors, and backlit metal panel ceilings. In addition, a 1,900 square metre showroom is the technological heart of the building, designed for live demonstrations of Amada machinery. Finally, a 1,300 square metre logistics warehouse is used for machinery and spare parts storage.

A curtain wall with low-emissivity glass, insulating materials and a solar thermal system for hot water production contribute to reducing energy consumption. To complete the project, Engineering 2K designed and installed a photovoltaic system consisting of 780 crystalline silicon panels, with a power output of 140 kWp and an estimated annual production of 150,000 kWh, equivalent to the energy needs of around 50 households, with a saving of 80 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
